The latest Fudoshin Karate School grading saw just a quartet of successful candidates - find out why & how they got on...

Karate Grading | Fudoshin Karate School

The latest Fudoshin Karate School grading held at Toll Bar Academy New Waltham, saw four candidates take part in the grading, including two of our latest students Rowan Campbell & Cayde Sleeth Wilding attempting their first grading, with father and son Paul and Luke Morris their second.

The day started off at 10am with a two hour training, conducted by Chief Instructor John McLauchlan and attended by other members of the club with club instructor Sensei Allison Calthorpe.

The session consisted of an in depth and informative look into basics, and the dynamics of stances and movement which everyone found interesting and enjoyable before moving on to practise the grading syllabus.

Rowan and Cayde, put in an excellent performance once they overcame those grading nerves, and showed good promise for the future, as did Paul and Luke Morris who after competing at the British Karate Association Championships last month handled themselves confidently to a successful 8th kyu pass.

As standards in the club continue to climb, many students are taking the mature decision to wait longer in between grades, to ensure they pass with good marks and grades, as every member recieves detailed feedback in their members handbooks, so on this occasion only four members were invited to grade.
